Is it better to talk about random stuff to a girl rather than be silent?

Whenever you're interested in someone, boy or girl, you should talk to them about them, especially if you're still getting to know them. Instead of scraping for current events or weird observations, ask, "So what'd you do yesterday?" "What classes are you taking this semester?" "Do you play any sports?" Or you can talk about something that's on your mind, an argument you got into with a family member or a funny thing your dog did yesterday. That might get them talking about their life.
