I was accused of Shoplifting?

This almost exact same thing happened to my mother back in November at a grocery store. She was livid, to say the least. She was also approached and told she could not come back to the store. She is a long, long time patron of the store and was furious about being accused of doing something she has never done in her life. She actually went over the manager's head to the store manager and then all the way to the corporate office demanding their "proof." Basically, there was none and they ATE CROW like crazy. They ended up offering her "anything she wanted" as an apology. They sent lunch to the business she owns and fed all of her co-workers and then gave her a case of the best wines they carried. People will mess with you because they think they can get away with it. Be polite when you contact the store manager, but be forceful as well and explain how appalled you were at the kind of treatment. It may be a good idea to write down some of your main points before hand. Sorry that happened to you! :(
