How do i get a girl friend?

I am at an all boys school and everyone talks crap about me for being a swimmer and for wearing speedos. I get called gay a lot and people call me weird. I don't want this to affect me getting a girl just because i'm a swimmer so can anyone give me an advice. Across the street is an all girls school its just i haven't had the guts to go over there and get a girlfriend. How do i get a cute girlfriend if all the girls across the street hear about me is that i do stupid crap and i'm weird?
