Can I use a Bora Clock instead of a Golf Speedo.?

My speedo/clock on a Golf 1.6 Petrol (1999) stopped working and I saw a Bora Sport Clock on eBay for 75 pounds. The only thing I'm worried about its that it may not work. The speedos look the same in terms of layout and stuff but the Part Number is different. Will it work if its not the same part number?
