Is it ok for tennagers to wear speedos?

Im 17 and quite enjoy wearing speedos. I dont like to wear them infront of people who I know but just prefer them when I am swimming (I swim with the public 10 hours a week to keep fit). I normally wear the 5cm plain black briefs with a black cap. Should I stop wearing them or continue to wear them?
